For GM / General Motors. The service pinion bearing and cup have changed on 2007 C/K truck 8.6" axles, and an enhanced bearing and cup assembly will be introduced on 8.6" Enhanced axles. The service bearing will be used on all standard 8.6" axles back to 1995, as well as current and future models. The 8.6" Enhanced axle has a different pressure angle, and will be used starting with 2009 C/K models. DT-49032 is double-sided, and will install either bearing cup when bearing or pinion service is required. Previously Essential J-8092 Driver Handle attaches to DT-49032, and is struck with a hammer to seat the cup into its bore.
