The differential bearing in the 6T45/50 AWD 6-speed transaxle must be removed without damage to the aluminum housing and a new bearing installed to a precise depth. Based on GVW, a vehicle will get a transaxle with either 2 pinion or 4 pinion carrier. DT-50087 removes and installs the bearing in the 4 pinion differential carrier. It will be colored red to distinguish it from the tool for the 2 pinion carrier, DT-49831 as they are very similar in design. Along with the p/n, DT-50087 will also be marked with "4 Pinion".
