DT-51617 installs the output shaft seal into the axle housing. The seals used on the 190 mm front axle are a two piece design, with the outer shell fully bottomed in the housing bore, and the inner shell floating in the outer, until it seats itself on the plug-in shaft. These seals are not the same size as any previously used on GM axles. DT-51617 installs the seal into the correct position without damage to the housing, seal, or internal components. DT-51617 is used with J-8092 driver handle.
